Get the driving license without a doubt
At the age of 17 years and 6 months, you can register with a driving school and start the learning process (with code and driving lessons).
The license takes as long as it takes to complete 28 hours of Code and 32 hours of Driving and cover 500 kilometers. This learning period will be longer or shorter depending on the candidate’s availability and the student’s learning progress. If all the training goes well, the minimum completion period will be twelve weeks.
Motorcycles up to 11 kW can be licensed from the age of 16.
For motorcycles up to 35 kW, the minimum age is 18.
For Category A, the minimum age is 24 or 2 years of qualifications in Category A2.
In either case, you can register and attend classes within the 6-month period before the minimum age.
The code test can only be booked/applied for when you are 18 years old and have completed at least half of the compulsory practical lessons, i.e. 16 hours of practical/driving instruction, and the compulsory 28 hours of code. Once you have successfully taken the code test, you can and should continue with the practical instruction as soon as possible.
Driving lessons and theory lessons must be taken at the same time. The driving test can only be taken after passing the theory test.
It’s the same one you used when learning. So you won’t notice any difference in the driving environment.
