What vehicles can you drive with this category?
A1
Category A1 of the driving license covers motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of up to 125cm³, a maximum power of 11 kW and a weight/power ratio not exceeding 0.1 kW/kg, as well as tricycles with a maximum power of up to 15 kW.
A2
Category A2 of the driving license covers motorcycles with a maximum power not exceeding 35KW, weight/power ratio not exceeding 0.2KW/Kg, not derived from a version with more than twice its maximum power.
After passing the practical exam, the A2 category holder is entitled to drive A1 and AM category vehicles.
Holders of category A1 (motorcycles up to 125 cm³) are exempt from attending theoretical classes and the theoretical exam, and must only complete 12 practical classes and the practical exam.
